Frequently Asked Questions

What do you recycle?

At Bonzi Recycling we recycle paper, everything from cardboard to white office paper. We are interested in any paper product. If you have anything out of the ordinary just give us a call.

How does your program work?

Our recycling programs are custom tailored to each customer. Determining factors are the amount of paper you need to recycle, the space available to you for storage and the amount of work you are going to do yourself (i.e. bailing or delivering).

Where does the paper go?

All of the paper that goes through the Bonzi Recycling yard is recycled into pre-consumer products such as paper plates and other paper products, new cardboard boxes, and packaging material. Some of our paper goes directly back to paper mills here in the United States. The remainder is shipped overseas to paper mills in the Pacific Rim. All of the material we handle becomes a serviceable, useful consumer product without additional destruction of our natural forests.

What is door price?

Door price is the price that we will pay per pound when it is delivered to us. These prices are posted at our scale every day.

Do you handle anything other than paper?

Special programs have been set up to handle materials other than paper.

How much will it cost me or how much will you pay me?

Many factors go in to determining the value of the paper product.

The paper market determines what we pay for paper. Paper is a commodity just like orange juice or rice.

How much you have is the first concern. The next thing we look at is what type of paper it is. Cardboard, for example, is a lower grade of paper than white office paper; therefore, it has a lower value.

Some grades of paper have no value but can be recycled. If you have this type of paper we may not be able to pay you for it and may have to charge you to pick it up. If we do have to charge it is usually considerably lower than what you would be charged by a disposal service. Additionally, it does not end up in a landfill, which is good for all of us. The freight is a variable factor. If you are local or are located in the outlying areas, our freight costs are a fixed hourly charge. You also have the option to deliver the paper to us. This eliminates our freight cost and we pay you the current door price.

Our handling costs vary depending upon how we receive the paper. If it is bailed into bails that do not have to be sorted or re-bailed because of weight or size our cost is lower and our price to you higher
